In June 2012, Southern Home Designs owner Ray Daly completed a home addition project for us that consisted of a work studio, a golf cart garage and a new patio.
Even before the construction could begin on our home addition, it was necessary for Ray to eliminate a 10 x 40 foot in-ground swimming pool with screen enclosures. The demolition alone was a major undertaking.
From drawing the home addition plans to completing the job, Ray was in complete control of the home addition project. He made sure the new construction complimented our existing home and made sure the products used and the workmanship involved were first-rate.

We just wanted to let you know what a wonderful job you did enclosing our rear deck and making a wonderful room out of it!
As you know, we were told by the builder who built our home that we couldn’t do a screened in porch or addition because of our roof line. Well, you proved them wrong!
The room is absolutely beautiful with all the crank out windows and open view we have of the golf course while at the same time having a second family room which has added wonderful value to our home.
We would recommend you to anyone for any type of construction work – you are the best!

We, David and Fern Sinnott, wish to express how pleased we are with the residence built for us by Ray Daly and his company, Single Tree Construction. Ray and all his people, Linda and earlier Lisa in the office, his punch-out supervisor Dean, and the many subs who put this house together in such a professional manner have all been a pleasure to deal with.
The house is completely satisfactory in all regards. We love it! We first found it under construction on an initial house-hunting trip to Pinehurst area in February and asked if certain changes could be made. Ray was most cooperative and was able to satisfy all of our sometimes-changing requirements and desires.
The result is a house truly customized to our wishes and a pure please to live in! Ray’s attention to detail and the quality he puts into his houses is most notable. The finishing touches, hardware and fittings used, quality of workmanship, and the care and attention given to the finishing out are truly commendable.
Our special thanks to Linda, his office support, for her untiring and ever-pleasant manner in taking care of our requests while we tried to have a house built by long distance! Also to Dean, the site supervisor, who so expeditiously attended to the few minor “punch-list” items after we moved in.
We wholeheartedly recommend Single Tree Construction and Ray Daly to anyone desiring a quality home well finished to a high standard.

Recently, I purchased a home from Single Tree Construction. I’m new to the area and purchased while under construction. Any questions that I had were answered promptly, and at several points during the construction if the builder had a question he would contact me. I am completely happy with my new home, and I feel that if I have any concerns in the future, that they will be handled promptly and professionally by Mr. Daly.
